EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Columbia County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities (CCHRA) are seeking a full-time Executive Director. CCHRA seeks to hire an energetic visionary for the leadership and administration of housing and community development activities of both Authorities.

 

CCHRA currently owns and manages 70 units of elderly/disabled and family units. CCHRA also administers a Housing Choice Voucher program authorized to assist 413 households in Columbia County. CCHRA administers Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership funding on behalf of Columbia County.

 

The qualified applicant will have experience in Community Development and/or Housing Development including experience working with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and/or the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Although demonstrated skill at administering programs and interpreting and implementing regulations is critical, evidence of innovative leadership and sustainable growth of an organization is important as well. In addition, the individual must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, demonstrated ability to empower staff at all levels of the organization and the ability to effectively communicate with the Public, News Media and Political Delegation.

 

Minimum qualifications: Any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. In addition to one (1) year of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in management, public administration, urban and regional planning, business administration, social science area or a closely related field is preferred.

 

Salary for the Executive Director position is based on qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is included. The applicant should provide minimum salary expectations in their cover letter. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

 

The Columbia County Redevelopment Authority is requesting proposals for a qualified environmental professional or firm to assist the Authority with conducting asbestos inspections on targeted demolition properties within Columbia County. Complete proposal details, including the required proposal format, may be obtained by contacting Lori D. Gordner at the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority, 570-784-9373, x114. or lgordner@cchrapa.org.

 

Proposals will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, October 9, 2020 at the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority, ATTN: Lori D. Gordner, 700 Sawmill Road, Suite 101, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

 

The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals.
