The Columbia County Commissioners intend to submit two (2) 2025 HOME applications to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
The first application will partner with Community Strategies Group (CSG) on a new construction project in Berwick PA and Mifflinville PA for the new construction of two single-family homes to families with household incomes below 80% of the area median. The second application will also partner with Community Strategies Group on Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Operating Funds, associated with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) project Bloom Heights that was previously awarded to Community Strategies Group by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) for new construction of affordable town homes in Bloomsburg, PA.
Those who would like to know more information on the new construction project in Berwick and Mifflinville are invited to a zoom meeting on December 31, 2024. The meeting will be held at 11 AM, and the meeting code is 570 784 9373. Guests are also welcome in person at The HUB at Mulberry Mill, located at 160 W. 6th Street, Bloomsburg PA 17815. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information, answer questions, and obtain public comment for the proposed project.

The Columbia County Commissioners intend to formally ratify the applications at their regularly scheduled meeting on January 16, 2025, at 2PM, in the small conference room located at 702 Sawmill Road, Bloomsburg PA 17815.
